Malaysian player Wai Leong Chan has been playing poker since 2009. Primarily he focused on poker online Malaysia cash games and since 2010 he started playing world famous live poker tournaments. In 2010 Chan won his first international live poker tournament HK$ 4,000 No Limit Hold ’em and received $2,986.
He finished seventh in early November 2016 atthe main event of the Triton Super High Roller Series in Paranaque, MetroManila, Philippines and received $250,000.
Around one and a half years later in May 2018,he took down three tournaments in the Triton Series in Budva, Montenegro, andwon $1.1 million prize money.
In early August 2018, he became second at themain event of the Triton Series in Jeju-do and received his career best prizemoney of more than $3.2 million and at the end of September 2018, he ensuredsecond place at a side event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Barcelona.
Earlier in 2019, he became third in anotherEPT tournament in Monte Carlo and at the beginning of August 2019, Chan securedhis position in the final table at the Triton Million for Charity in Londonwith a buy-in of one million pounds and earned $1.5 million for his ninthplace.

Just over a week later, Chan took down the PartypokerMillions World Bahamas Super High Roller Final and received a $ 380,000 winaward.
